The Wedding by Sten Studio at Alcova transforms an abandoned chapel into a full sculptural ceremony that first reads as a design exhibition, then reveals itself as something more intimate and theatrical. At its center, two monumental stone lamps - the bride and groom - anchor a cast of stools, tables, benches, and sculptural candleholders that fill the space like elegantly dressed guests, each made from individually selected stones chosen for their color, texture, and mineral character. A custom Verdi carpet woven with copper and stainless steel threads runs down the aisle, while living botanical sculptures by Hamish Powell and bespoke scents developed with Penhaligon’s add further sensory layers. The project began from a deeply personal place, with Head of Design Liliana Radilla drawing on her own wedding as its emotional starting point, and the entire concept was brought to life in just three and a half months.
