Agglomerati, the London-based studio, is delighted to present Sekka, a collection of tables in stone designed by Tino Seubert and realised by Bianco67 during Alcova Milano 2024 at Villa Borsani. Evolving from Seubert’s table series Hana (‘flower’ in Japanese), the collection for Agglomerati emerges as a crystallised continuation of this theme. Sekka (‘snow flower’ in Japanese) is conceived from a dialogue between material and concept. This progression of technique is captured and immortalised in marble; the designer’s signature detail delicately frozen in noble stone.
Drawing influences spanning Japanese carpentry and monolithic Mediterranean edifices, the Sekka collection is a testament to enduring design and cross-cultural aesthetics. At the collection’s heart lies five quintessential Italian marbles, each colour contrasting or complementing one another as a four-pillared stem or tabletop. Comprising round and rectangular side, coffee, and dining tables, the pieces configure through the interplay of stone pairings, introducing a harmonious nuance that articulates the geometric detailing of the central flower motif.
The presentation at Villa Borsani, a landmark of modernist heritage, transcends its role as a mere setting; it fosters a dialogue between the contemporary and the classical. Agglomerati’s curatorial and collaborative approach exemplifies the brand’s commitment to coupling the innovative with the artisanal. The Sekka collection underscores Seubert’s refined design ethos alongside Bianco67’s exemplary craftsmanship.
