ATOLLO is a monochromatic, monolithic furniture system—modular and essential—emerging within a meticulously pared-down space. An atollo, Italian for “atoll,” is a self-contained structure or island, reflecting the installation’s enclosed, elemental nature. A satin partition divides the room, echoing architecture’s textile origins and mirroring the rhythm of the wooden walls that surround it.
ATOLLO distills simplicity, becoming the sole presence in an anonymous, monochrome interior inhabited by a landscape of mute objects. At Studioutte, everything revolves around the table—a fulcrum of research shaped by refinement and subtraction. The table becomes the new focolare domestico, an anchor in a space that feels both complete and in flux, on the cusp of becoming architecture.

About
studioutte
Established in 2020 by Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola, studioutte is a Milan-based multidisciplinary practice for interior architecture, decoration and collectible design. utte (hütte) /'hytә/ hut, hütte, small cabana, wooden cabin, shelter. The vision of studioutte is distinctly Italian yet an integrated, harmonious reality. Its hybrid design is composed of vernacular architecture research and influences across various regional practices. Through a clear, expressive approach that eludes reiterated and extreme elements, the aim is purity, a concentration into a primitive essence. A warm assertiveness meets an animistic devotion for objects and interiors. Reaching beyond the formality of simplicity, ideas are distilled into essential, poetic forms and spaces.
