WHY NOW?

Driven by a strong interest in projects and objects that reflect the present time, Spotti together with Mr.Lawrence studio have built a design collection capable of bridging the gap between the industrial design product and the experimental language that many designers have adopted, the so-called "design art" for collectors and galleries.

The first collection, WHY NOW? is a refined selection of 17 international realities, which will present more than 30 pieces from 14 different countries, from Belgium to England and South Africa, from Korea to the United States. The result is a catalogue of furnishing elements and components representative of creativity free from labels and old schemes. The pieces in the catalogue are the 3-in-1 bookcases by Diego Faivre, the floral mirror by Anna Aagaard Jensen, a glass tableware set by Helle Mardahl, a series of vases by Bethan Gray, glass accessories by the young Nienke Sikkema, vases from Oliver-Selim Boualam, carpets made from old T-Shirts by Nawaaz Saldulker, geometric steel elements by NM3, a collection of pieces in glass and polystyrene developed by Duccio Maria Gambi,a series of chairs and containers by the Supaform collective, an outstanding buffet designed and produced by Mary-Lynn & Carlo Massoud, a mirror by Maarten de Ceulaer, produced by Deknudt Mirrors, some elements of the Alltubes collection by Muller Van Severen, a totem/pouf by the duo Objects of Common Interest, a carpet by Odd Matter, a column bookcase by Sam Stewart and finally a collection of titanium seats designed by Yeon Jinyeong and produced by 13 desserts.
