Nilufar is pleased to announce the participation of StudioDanielK at the Depot for Milan Design Week 2025, presenting the collections Esquisses, Jóia, and Copan. This innovative debut marks the beginning of StudioDanielK’s collaboration with Nilufar and invites us to delve deeper into the home—moving beyond the antechamber to a luminous space where architecture, culture, and craftsmanship converge.
As the newest addition to Nilufar’s portfolio, StudioDanielK continues his exploration of materiality and sculptural design, offering pieces that elevate furniture into heirloom-like treasures.
The Esquisses lighting collection references Jean Royère’s legacy and his gallery in São Paulo, celebrating StudioDanielK’s signature jewelry-inspired approach. Exploring the delicate balance of light, shadow, and material, and using only copper and fire quartz, the collection features sculptural floor chandeliers that radiate warmth, transforming any space into a jewel-like sanctuary. These works blur the boundary between function and art, inviting reflection on how light interacts with texture and form—pushing the limits of single-material use.
The Jóia collection continues this narrative with tables, chairs, and desks adorned with brass accents and semi-precious stones—elements that further the conversation on material exploration and refined elegance first established by Antechamber, StudioDanielK’s inaugural collection.
The Copan collection draws inspiration from the iconic architectural language of Brazilian modernism and Art Deco influences, featuring sculptural sofas and armchairs crafted from exotic woods such as burl and lacewood. Upholstered in mohair velvet by Dedar, the renowned Italian textile house, the pieces are accented by jewel-like feet, striking a balance between bold silhouettes, radical lines, and inviting textures.
Copan embodies a dialogue between past and present, offering contemporary design that is both timeless and rooted in cultural exchange.

About
Nilufar Gallery
Discovering, Crossing, Creating. Nina Yashar believes in valuing design to tell stories. She founded Nilufar Gallery in Milan in 1979. Originally located in via Bigli and specialized in antique carpets, a passion she inherited from her Iranian parents, the Gallery soon launched a series of pioneering shows, including “La rosa nel tappeto” (The rose on the carpet) – a study on the iconography of the rose motif in rugs from all around the world – while bringing both Oriental and European carpets, such as Kilim, Gabbeh and Aubusson varieties, into the Italian and international spotlight. By the end of the Nineties, the Gallery, now located in via della Spiga, ventured into modern and contemporary furniture, showcasing the work of midcentury masters alongside unusual carpets, cutting-edge furniture and emerging designers’ pieces. In 1999, the Gallery expanded its headquarters in via della Spiga with a project lead by Italian designer Gian Carlo Montebello. The first decade of the new century witnessed a series of experimentations and contamination which strengthened the Gallery’s reputation of a reference point to historical and contemporary design lovers.
