Carpenters Workshop Gallery presents Reverse Fireworks in Slow Motion, the first stateside solo exhibition by Greek artist, Kostas Lambridis. Delving into the essence of Earth’s elements, Lambridis unveils nine new works that explore a mono-material approach, focusing on metal, wood, mineral, and plastic. Lambridis treats each element equally, highlighting their significance and creating harmony between the materials through his craftsmanship.
“There is a structure in the way I work that has become more of a limitation, than an open door. With the excuse of this new show, I wanted to face the void. When you look at my previous work, there is a certain level of complexity. I realised if you focus on one material, like wood, eventually you realise there is the same level of complexity within that material.” – Kostas Lambridis

About
Carpenters Workshop Gallery
From Functional Art to Collectible Design, today Carpenters Workshop Gallery produces and exhibits functional art by international artists or designers, both rising and established, going outside their traditional territories of expression. Actively involved in the research and production of limited edition works, the gallery’s choices are guided by seeking an emotional, artistic and historical relevance; a relevance that must appear evident.
