SCULPTED

Known Work, a new collectible furniture and product design studio from the NYC-based interior design firm Parts and Labor Design, will preview its debut collection, entitled the KW 01 Perceptions Collection, at “SCULPTED" which will take place during Mexico City’s Art Week. Mexico City’s lively design scene energizes the designers, who are thrilled to participate in Zona Maco, the city’s contemporary art fair, and show alongside Jorge Yázpik, a prolific and globally exhibited Mexican sculptor and artist. Entitled ‘SCULPTED,’ the exhibition is a pairing of Yázpik’s sculptural works with Known Work’s functional design pieces and encapsulates the porous boundaries between art and design, form, and function. The presentation, curated by Materia's Sarah Len, is meant to engage viewers in a sensorial dialogue, one that stokes new understandings of spatial contexts and engagement.
