Studio 84, Mexican design retailer founded by Maria Dolores Uribe, returns to Mexico City Art Week with Inner Stage, an exhibition and site-specific performance at the Escuela del Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández, one of Mexico City’s most emblematic cultural institutions, designed by Agustín Hernández Navarro.
The exhibition brings together new pieces by UNNO Gallery designers Alana Burns, Lucía Echavarría, and Andrea Vargas Dieppa in The closet scene, alongside cc-tapis rugs by Scarlett Rouge and Sabine Marcelis, and 6:AM 1/1/1 sculpture series, ULTRAS, [QUADRATO], and [EXIT] collection, alongside other pieces of the brand. The exhibition will be completed with a performance directed by artist Mauricio Ascencio.
The project explores femininity, craft, and the emotional and material qualities of the spaces we inhabit, blending space, objects, and performers combined into an immersive experience.
