As the Senior Manager for Architects & Designers (A&D) Relations you will oversee the developing of sales of Hermès Maison collections to Interior Designers and Architects throughout the Western region. You will serve as Ambassador to Brand in key relationships - communicating Hermès’s unique position within the market. Within Hermès, you will work in close partnership with the West Coast Boutique sales teams to ensure all A&D contacts receive the highest level of service, and all sales opportunities are maximized.

Responsibilities:

Hermes Maison A&D Development

  • Plan and execute a developed strategy to increase the A&D business in the Western Region, targeting furniture, lighting and architectural elements.
  • Identify, vet and grow A&D market opportunities through direct outreach initiatives
  • Develop, propose, and deliver local A&D events, partnering with the local market's boutique.
  • Establish strong relationships with top A&D clients to develop a steady and reliable sales flow.
  • Follow A&D projects from inception through payment and delivery to insure the highest level of service.
  • Participate in local and regional A&D events to increase Hermès visibility and create a broader network.
  • Communicate and partner with Global A&D Correspondents on international clients and projects when necessary.

Partnership with Hermes Boutiques

  • Support local boutique sales teams, ensuring A&D clients are well connected with the stores and have a fully informed contact.
  • Collaborate with Maison Merchandise Specialist, following projects from time of order to time of delivery. - Partner with the local boutique to ensure A&D clients are properly informed throughout the sales process.
  • Trains and supports Western Region boutiques on furniture, lighting, and trade relations.
  • Ensure Western Region boutiques have proper sales collateral and sampling tools - partnering with the stores' management and Maison ambassadors.

Reporting

  • Provide monthly business updates and quarterly sales reports/forecasts.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from sales teams, to present new ideas for selling tools, communication, etc.
  • Provide feedback to global Metier teams on design trends, product requests and any other areas of opportunity.
  • Manage and update Western Region A&D database

Performance criteria

  • Sales growth to the A&D community, sales of furniture and lighting
  • Development of interior design projects
  • Quality of the A&D relationships, ability to leverage these relationships for events and transform into concrete sales
  • General organization, project management, and post-project follow-up
  • Relationship with Hermes boutique sales teams
  • Understanding of Hermes unique position and ability to convey it to both external and internal clients
  • Qualifications

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience, in sales within luxury home market or similar role and/or environment
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and ability to exercise appropriate judgement
  • Existing portfolio of relations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of key industry players with excellent networking skills
  • Knowledge and insight to industry competitors and industry trends
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated
  • Strong team player spirit
  • Interior design or architecture background a plus, but not required
  • Ability to speak French a plus, but not required
  • Ability to travel both locally and internationally throughout the year required
