Guided by Nick Jones and Director of Soho House Design, Marcus Barwell, the House’s interiors whisper of India and the city beyond, with each floor draped in vibrant Rajasthani block-printed fabrics, enriched by locally crafted furniture and a curated collection of Indian antiques. The design seamlessly marries tradition with modern, lived-in elegance, creating a space that feels both global in sophistication and distinctly local in character.

The ground floor welcomes the public, where Cecconi’s Mumbai spills toward the sea with an expansive terrace. This restaurant, part of a Venetian-born global family with sister locations in London, New York, Miami, West Hollywood, Istanbul, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Berlin, offers flavors of Northern Italy — cicchetti, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, seasonal vegetables and refreshing salads. Inside, glass chandeliers, warm timber and rattan panelling, and antique Indian brass lights evoke a soft, timeless glow. An L-shaped marble bar and leather-banquette seating are accented by Indian cut-glass lamps, while outside, rattan chairs and tables amid lush greenery create a sunlit, relaxed setting.

Ascending to the first floor, the screening room offers 32 mohair armchairs adorned with locally hand-printed Rajasthani fabrics, complemented by footstools and side tables, where drinks and snacks can be enjoyed during films — a marriage of artisanal craftsmanship and cinematic comfort. Adjacent, the Eva Room opens to both members and non-members, a versatile stage for intimate gatherings, celebrations, workshops and talks. A fully equipped 12-foot bar and cutting-edge sound, lighting and projection systems allow the space to transform for 20 to 70 guests, blending functional sophistication with effortless style.

The second floor houses the House Gym, a complete wellness sanctuary featuring Technogym and Watsons equipment, a group fitness studio, steam rooms, laundry facilities and an outdoor workout area. The house press juice bar integrates refreshment seamlessly into this space, allowing wellness and leisure to coexist harmoniously.

Floors three to seven are dedicated to 38 individually curated bedrooms — from Small to Big, including two Playroom suites. Interiors feature eco-friendly sisal floors, antique timber and bone-inlay furniture, and lampshades crafted from vintage sari fabrics discovered in local markets. Bathrooms shimmer with Indian-inspired colored cement tiles, vintage mirrors and marble fittings, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury.

The eighth floor, the House’s main members’ refuge, features soaring ceilings, cut-glass chandeliers and antique teak floors. At its center, a bar gleams with antique mirrors, glass wall lights and leather stools, surrounded by a curated mix of antiques and Soho House Design pieces for lounging and dining. Balconies offer panoramic views of the sea and city, while the ninth-floor library, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, gazes down over the space below.

Perched on the rooftop, the bar and restaurant present sweeping views of Mumbai to the east and the Arabian Sea to the west. Traditional Indian cement tiles, walls of reclaimed sleeper wood and retractable awnings create a textured, sunlit stage. A colorful marble-top bar faces the sea, surrounded by terrazzo tables, locally crafted cane furniture and relaxed seating, while the rooftop pool, lined with striped sunbeds and lush greenery, completes a serene, sun-drenched escape.

On these floors, the menu — crafted from locally sourced ingredients — celebrates Soho House favourites and Indian-inspired creations, where fragrant spices and regional flavours dance through every dish, served throughout the day to offer a sensory journey that marries familiar comfort with the culinary spirit of Mumbai.
