Graeme Davis and John Cox at the FUZE Art Fair

FUZE, the Baha Mar Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival's centerpiece, showcased the works of over 70 contemporary Caribbean artists and 40 galleries from 14 countries. Attendees explored an array of artistic panels, live demonstrations, guided tours, and workshops, with standout contributions from TERN Gallery, the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, and artists such as Lynn Parotti and June Collie.

The culinary program surprised guests with appearances by renowned chefs, including Marcus Samuelsson, Ken “Katsuya” Uechi, and Dario Cecchini. The two-day Culinary Expo, held October 26–27, featured live chef demonstrations, masterclasses, and tastings led by top sommeliers, offering an unparalleled culinary experience.

John Cox, Executive Director of Art & Culture at Baha Mar, celebrated the event's success by remarking, “This year’s FUZE Caribbean Art Fair brought together an extraordinary assembly of talent, fostering deep connections between artists, audiences, and culture."

New additions to the FUZE lineup included exhibitions by Bordón Studio and OCAD University, alongside the debut of the “Blue Floor Project,” an ongoing collaboration with SCOPE Miami Beach. This initiative launched at Art Basel Miami with the exhibition God Is the Soil, featuring several FUZE artists.

The festival also featured a special live performance by Grammy-winning artist Sir Rod Stewart on October 25 at Baha Bay Lagoon. The intimate beach party, Stewart’s only performance in The Bahamas this year, was a highlight of the week, complemented by local food vendors and artisans who showcased the best of Bahamian culture and hospitality.

Supported by sponsors such as JetBlue, The Macallan, and San Pellegrino, the Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival 2024 reaffirmed its status as a premier event celebrating the intersection of art, cuisine, and culture in the Caribbean.
