Handmade in Spain by women using centenarian techniques, Flabelus is a socially conscious brand that produces the highest quality shoes while preserving resources for future generations. The entire production process creates little waste, and has transparent production lines in Europe with select organic recycled materials. The products are crafted by dedicated local artisans who follow the most beautiful traditional processes, such as the manual sewing of the shoe, passed downs from generation to generation. Flabelus slippers' inner sole and inner shoe are composed of 70% bamboo and 30% recycled polybular polyester, a fiber with a star shape which helps sweat absorption and evaporation. The sole is made with recycled rubber that is carefully stitched together by hand, and our packaging is both 100% recycled and recyclable. The focus is double - to ensure that the producers and their families are able to grow their businesses without altering their traditional craftsmanship, guaranteeing the future of the region, as well as to ensure that what matters for our clients is also relevant to us. Flabelus promotes local solidarity by choosing suppliers among small and medium-sized European companies with agreed upon fair prices with providers.

“The name Flabelus is my personal definition for friendship. In September 2019 when I first began thinking about creating slippers, I shared the idea with my two favourite people: Flami and Lu. Flami combined the first syllables of our three names and suddenly Flabelus was born. This special name keeps me strong because it reminds me that I am never alone; it signifies the beautiful thing that is friendship.”
