A team of interior designers formed by Luis Bustamante and Rosa Rosselló and architects Carlos Ferrater and Xavier Martí of the architectural office OAB, created the Seventy’s interiors that are reminiscent of the Slim Aarons era of midcentury indulgence with thick mediterranean stripes, bold colors, high ceilings, and graphic art.
The massive lobby sets a grand impression as you arrive in a reception room with double-height ceilings, bookshelves, and circular staircases, creating a setting reminiscent of stepping into the private yacht of a book collector. Adjacent to the lobby is a large and colorful restaurant that features individual built-in tables for privacy and a 360-degree bar offering friendly service and fantastic cappuccinos.
The bedrooms are spacious, with many of the suites exhibiting a visual reprieve in a sophisticated palette of black, white, and gray. Floor-to-ceiling windows, generously proportioned and comfortable beds, and a well-designed floor plan make the rooms unique to many hotels in Barcelona as it offers plenty of space to breathe and unfold.
Speaking of breathing room, a major highlight of the hotel is the subterranean spa which includes a pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and a training gym. The Seventy Spa is a 100% natural and vegan spa and has over 25 options for facials and massages.
For more social relaxation, on the seventh floor of the hotel guests will find a terrace with a glass pool, a solarium for sunbathing all year round, and not to mention stunning views of the city.
