Grandma's Home prides itself on its dedication to authentic Hangzhou cuisine, known for its use of seasonal ingredients and a blend of culinary practices from both northern and southern China. Part of the broader Zhejiang Cuisine—one of China's Eight Traditional Cuisines—the menu at Grandma’s Home includes a range of appetizers, dim sum, main courses, soups, and desserts. Notable dishes include Clay Pot Chicken with Green Tea, Hong Shao Rou, and Scallion Oil Noodles. The beverage selection is equally thoughtful, featuring low ABV cocktails inspired by Chinese folklore and a variety of non-alcoholic options, wines, beers, sake, and teas.

Julia Zhu, U.S. Managing Partner and daughter of one of the restaurant’s founders, spearheaded the U.S. venture. Zhu aimed to replicate the dining experiences of her childhood and extend the legacy of regional Chinese culinary traditions. She emphasized the importance of community and family, integrating these values into the New York location while maintaining the essence of the brand's origins.
