Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta tapped emerging Mexican designer Andrés Monnier to create custom collectible Totems for their boutiques worldwide, including their first store in Latin America located in in the Artz Pedregal luxury shopping center in Mexico City. The boutique will house Bottega Veneta’s men’s collection and will debut the new designs by Creative Director Matthieu Blazy.
“Similar to Italy where Bottega Veneta was born in 1966, and many Latin-American countries, including my native México– we have a strong sense of cultural heritage. Mexico is full of beauty, customs, traditions, nature– a country rich in what it has to offer. You can find all of that reflected in Mexican design. I have to say that I am really honored and happy to be working with the Bottega Veneta team. It is a dream that I am navigating with passion and commitment.”
