From March 12 to June 1, 2025, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs will celebrate the centenary of Art Deco with a unique exhibition dedicated to Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, an exceptional decorator and a true star of the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts.
Featuring nearly seventy pieces—including twenty-six sketchbooks, more than forty wallpapers, as well as textiles and photographs—Ruhlmann Decorator highlights a lesser-known aspect of this visionary artist: his talent for designing wall coverings and fabrics in harmony with his furniture creations.
This special focus marks the inauguration of the Cabinet of Drawings, Wallpapers, and Photographs, an intimate space showcasing treasures from the museum’s collections. This new space has been made possible through the support of Sakurako and William Fisher, in honor of Hélène David-Weill and Maggie Bult.
