In the exhibition, “Antimatière,” curated by SIZED, Studio HAOS explores concerns of our era by carving a singular path, away from both mechanized mass production and opulent craftsmanship, introducing eight pieces employing just two materials, 40x40 aluminum tubes and zinc sheets. This new body of work is accompanied by pieces by artists and designers Omer Arbel, Rich Aybar, and Katerina Jebb. Designer Omer Arbel showcases “71,” a hanging sculpture resulting from the repetitive process that consists of submerging machine bolts wrapped in copper wire into a nickel or copper bath. Sculptor Rich Aybar explores sexual forms in tantalizing shades of amber. Katerina Jebb’s experimental images depict objects holding powerful cultural resonance, captured through the lens of a digital scanner.

CONTRIBUTIONS is an idiosyncratic offering of collectible design, interior design and architecture, launching across multiple locations in Paris October 16–22, 2023, during the international art & design week. Presented by Anna Caradeuc and Bildung, the fully independent festival will feature a series of unexpected site-specific exhibitions, events, and panel conversations that champion collective imagining, DIY experimentation, and aesthetic adventure.
