
London Design Biennale is a three-week long international exhibition and events programme located at historic Somerset House in the heart of London. From 5–29 June 2025, the Biennale will celebrate its fifth edition with Dr. Samuel Ross MBE as the Artistic Director. The theme will be ‘Surface Reflections’.
Featuring world leading design innovation, creativity and research from participants across the globe, the Biennale champions the importance and universal relevance of design in contemporary life and culture.
Dr. Samuel Ross MBE will be the Artistic Director of the 2025 London Design Biennale. The British designer and artist is founder of A-COLD-WALL* and SR_A SR_A, as well as the Black British Artists Grants Programme. Ross has set the theme of ’Surface Reflections’ for 2025, which will explore how our ideas are fuelled by both our internal experiences and external influences.
