Opening of VAUST Gallery
during Gallery Weekend 2025
Berlin, May 2, 2025 – With the opening of VAUST Gallery, a new space dedicated to Contemporary Collectible Design and Functional Art enters the Berlin design and art scene. Positioned between object, sculpture, and spatial design, the gallery serves as a platform for functional works that challenge conventions and expand the notion of use.
The inaugural exhibition, “Altered Angles”, explores shifts in perception—formal, spatial, and conceptual. Featuring international artists and designers, the show highlights works that break open familiar categories of function, material, and objecthood. Between interior design, limited-edition objects, and sculptural gestures, the exhibition questions how design shapes daily experience—and how it evolves as a cultural language.
The curatorial vision follows the gallery’s guiding ideology: “Vice Versa” – a continuous movement between disciplines, uses, and contexts. This duality also informs the selection of participants: VAUST seeks to amplify both national and international voices, while contributing to Berlin’s dynamic landscape by creating visibility for designers working at the intersection of function and artistic expression.
VAUST Gallery
Founded to explore new perspectives on functional design, VAUST Gallery focuses on concept-driven, limited-edition pieces with strong material presence. As a platform for exhibitions, curatorial projects, and interdisciplinary collaborations, it aims to contribute to an ongoing discourse around design as an artistic and cultural practice.
